Transit Consultant Louis Tilatti joins Steer Davies Gleave

Steer Davies Gleave is delighted to welcome Louis Tilatti, who joins our Toronto office as an Associate.

Louis was previously with Morrison Hershfield, where he was Manager of Transit Infrastructure. He brings a broad range of transit engineering design, project management and business development experience gained over 35 years of consultancy work for both public and private sectors. Louis has been responsible for a wide range of projects including the planning, design and contract administration of GO Transit and TTC subway station accessibility and redevelopment, station platform expansions and upgrades, layover facilities, yard expansions, bus and rail maintenance facilities, and rail grade separations. 

Recent projects include the GO Bloor Station Upgrade for the Metrolinx UPE project and the Pape Station Modernization for the Toronto Transit Commission. Louis has been primarily engaged  in the design and project management of transit station modifications for barrier-free access,  increased platform and station capacity, entrance improvements, and station safety and security.  He has also provided design management and control for engineering design including specifications, tender documents, cost estimating, construction contract administration, and engineer-of-record services.

Prior to joining Morrison Hershfield, Louis spent 24 years with Giffels/IBI in Toronto where he was involved on projects in the automotive, commercial, communications, manufacturing, warehousing, energy, sports, and transit market sectors as a structural engineer, project manager, and director of Transit business development.

At Steer Davies Gleave, Louis will be concentrating on expanding our portfolio of services by leading and winning projects with more detailed engineering design work.
