The Institution of Railway Operators (IRO) has appointed Helen Waters, Associate Director at Steer, to its Board of Directors.
Helen brings significant industry knowledge to IRO’s ten-person board having started her career in the rail industry in 1992. Helen has worked in a variety of operation, project delivery and consulting roles. She was heavily involved in the procurement and delivery of the Pendolino fleet and the transformation of the West Coast timetable. Helen has extensive experience in franchise bidding, mobilisation and managing business change as well as experience in managing train crew and customer service delivery.
