Simon Davies joins Steer Davies Gleave's UK Planning team

Steer Davies Gleave is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Davies as an Associate in our UK Planning team. Simon joins us from JMP where he led their engineering design team in a wide range of public and private sector highways, traffic and public realm projects. At SDG, Simon will continue to work on the delivery of highways and public realm schemes.

Simon is a chartered civil engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the design and delivery of highways, traffic and public realm schemes for public and private sectors. He has been responsible for a number of high profile schemes, including the removal of the Aldgate one-way system to facilitate development, the construction of the Braham Street Park, and the A406 Henlys Corner improvement, where he designed and supervised TfL’s Henlys Corner improvement on London’s North Circular Road to comply with current highway standards under NEC3 contract.

Most recently, Simon was involved in a major public realm scheme for Kingston Ancient Market Place. He led a multi-disciplinary team in the detailed design and implementation of a scheme to redevelop the site. Simon’s team provided technical support to the architect responsible for the new market stall design, including surface water and sewage drainage, incoming service co-ordination, new granite paving, and the development of the complete contract documents for the scheme.

Sharon Daly, Head of UK Planning at Steer Davies Gleave said, “We are delighted that Simon has joined us. Simon brings with him extensive experience and will help us to further enhance SDG’s engineering design and implementation capabilities in the UK”.
